Our team of lawyers includes: the managing partner of the law firm - expert in civil law, criminal law, and specialised in health law; two lawyers expert in criminal law; two lawyers with expertise in civil law, and an intern in both civil and criminal law. This team is supported by three experts in forensic science specialized in "Medical Malpractice", in addition of being assisted by professionals in management, marketing, and communications.
For many years, the law firm has been included in a mailing list made of lawyers and health law experts operating throughout Italy. This ongoing networking with lawyers with different skills and from different territories, keeps us informed of the issues and practices adopted in pending judgments. It also gives us the opportunity of constantly comparing and sharing experiences - not only "judicial" - with colleagues and experts in a specific area, in order to acquire the most complete and thorough knowledge of the subject matter and the issues related to it (i.e. what differs from one court to another).
The mailing list is also an immediate and responsive tool to assigning tasks to external lawyers who are experts in health law and in other judicial proceedings concerning areas that require specific skills.
In rare circumstances, it may be necessary to assign cases to lawyers "outside" of the professional network "built" by the law firm. In that case, the candidate will answer a questionnaire with questions concerning the most common ways of managing cases and the knowledge of health law.
However, a member of our team will always attend such hearings held in “off-site” courts, unless they are held in conjunction with previously made commitments.
The law firm has created the "Health and Justice" Study Center, based in Palermo, with the aim of investigating issues related to medical malpractice. In addition to conferences and meetings, the Center organizes training classes for all those who practice the medical profession. These classes are designed to provide updates on the law regarding medical malpractice.
For several years we have tested and performed an in-depth training module on medical malpractice, concerning the laws, the cases management, and the defense strategies. The training module, lasting 45 minutes, is held by a criminal lawyer, a civil lawyer, and an insurance broker, all with in-depth experience in this sector. Our goal is to incite a relevant and effective debate, deepening and clarifying all the theoretical and practical aspects of the topic addressed.
